Bright Beginnings, at 93 Enys Road, is registered for 56 children aged 1 to 8 years. We have a beautiful Toddler Unit and Pre School Unit and a large garden for outdoor play. The soft play room is loved by all the children and every room is well equipped and designed to capture the imagination of the children attending.
The Toddler Unit consists of a large room, which can be divided into two or used as one big area for large group activities, a sleep room for our tinies who need a nap and a large Soft Play room with a super ball pit and soft play shapes and animals. Children are welcomed into the Toddler unit from 12 months and are cared for by dedicated, experienced staff.
When the toddlers are getting near their third birthday they are introduced to the Pre School Unit on the first floor. They have a few short taster sessions to ensure they are happy and confident before they move permanently to be with our Pre School group.
The Pre School Unit consists of a cosy reading and puzzle room, a well equipped Art and Craft Room and a large classroom for up to the table activities, circle time and computer sessions. Additionally there is a fantastic Imagination Room equipped with lots of role play equipment and fancy dress to encourage imaginative free play and self expression. The Pre School Group continue to use the soft play room for lively play. In November 2005 we completed the refurbishment of the large rear garden with the installation of a all weather safety surface. This major investment provides Bright Beginnings with a virtually unique facility within Nursery Schools in Eastbourne. All the children attending Bright Beginnings make good use of the garden and the associated outside play equipment. Check out our new Interactive garden on the next page. We are open from 8.15am to 5.30pm 51 weeks a year and accept children on a full or part time basis. Our current OFSTED report highlights how happy, content and well behaved the children at Bright Beginnings are. We are proud that it is recognised that staff at the Nursery encourage good behaviour through organised and free play whilst the children continue to learn through our extensive curriculum.
